Safe & Sanitary Report
We will conduct an on site inspection of the property – along with plumber and electrician (if needed) – to ascertain the safety and sanitary status of the dwelling. We will provide a detailed and thorough report, with photographic evidence and plumbing/electrical certification for you to provide to your bank/insurer.
Building Consent Application
We will work with you throughout the application process. This can be from concept/idea all the way to ready to apply for building consent. We will work with MDC and your designer until building consent is issued.
On Site Evaluation – CCC
Gavin will conduct a site evaluation to ascertain what work is required in order for the building consent to get its Code Compliance Certificate. This will be provided in a report that you as the owner can undertake to rectify/complete, or Gavin can oversee this process.
On Site Evaluation – CoA
Gavin will conduct a site evaluation firstly to establish what (if any) unconsented work has been done. If found, Gavin can provide full support and guidance navigating section 96 of the Building Act (Certificate of Acceptance). This can be a long and drawn out process with many complications, so having open lines of communication with MDC is vital to ensure best outcome in the shortest timeframe possible.
Project Management/MDC Liaison
Having been involved in the building industry in Marlborough now for a number of years, Gavin has established good working relationships in a number of different contracting fields. He is able to utilize this to offer you the option of project management with trusted tradesmen. With Gavin’s experience at MDC he is fully aware of the issues that can evolve from miscommunication and misunderstandings. In order to minimise or mitigate the chances of this Gavin is happy to be your agent and first point of call for the MDC throughout this process.
Compliance Pathway Report
A detailed report that shows exactly what steps (and professionals) are required to bring a property to a legal status. Quotes are then able to be sourced to give home owner a clear idea of the size and potential costings of this project. Very popular with both potential purchasers and vendors as it gives clarity and confidence moving forward.
